ok, so, I'd like to try this!

Try to write different categories of fic (angst, fluff, UST, etc) in 10 words or less.

I'd prefer if you'd tell me characters/pairings. Favorites are welcome but you can go wild with anything or any show you remember me talking about.

boy I hate going back to work after vacations!  The worst was getting up! *clings to pillow*

but hey, did it, but now I got to go to painting class that start again too. thankfully the workout starts only next week! (I think?)

the discipline thing? not quite at the level I wish it was. but I'll try to get there.

btw, I resisted and resisted from signing up at j2_everafter  for a couple of days now. because the only prompt that tempts me is a movie from 6-7 years back that I barely remember watching. and well. would be baseball again. tell me it's a bad, bad idea? please?

I'd like to make it simple:

1. more discipline (that's large, but it includes less procrastinating, more writing, more art, more exercise, more cleaning of the house, less snacks). ha ha ha ha   ;)
2. loosing 15 pounds (if I keep with 1, this could be done)
3. more fun with the kids

Speaking of fun? I got the all clear for Las Vegas, the October 2009 Lost GFG edition!    \o/

I do think that pushing for the Vancouver SPN convention on top would be a bit much for my husband's understanding ways though, so I doubt I'll make it to both. although I can still hope, right?

Okay, let's see if I can at least write a little 100 words for today  ;)

Still mostly MIA for family reasons, as my parents are visiting. Today is my husband's (39!) and father's (70!) birthdays  =D   we had cake and presents, and now we're leaving for my SIL's house for a little gathering (and more Guitar Heroe for sure! Lol!).

(btw, I know I've been bad with replying to comments lately, but OMG, when I could LJ would not let me. I'll do that tomorrow, promise!)

I had wonderful surprises today myself: 

• A surprise gift by uhzoomzip , OMG, I love it! thank you! really original and I'm sure I'll put it to good use. will be good to learn for the boys too!
• I got my Lost_hohoho gift by the adorable fosfomifira , Between the shadows and the soul, and it's AWESOME (Sawyer/various, with focus on Sawyer/Jack)

wow, the drive back was something, with all the freezing rain that fell down yesterday. But we made it safe and sound, and my parents won't be coming until Tuesday its seems. I'll have to tidy up the house tomorrow! Maybe I'll be able to answer comments and interact a bit too *crosses fingers* I hope everything is well with you guys.

I hope you all had a good -(insert Holiday of choice here)- !!!!

Mine was good, if you wondered. We are eating too much, going to bed at almost 3am each night (usually after playing badly at Guitar Hero World Tour) and getting up at noon. I had very nice gifts, aka Lost S4, House S4, Tropic Thunder, a gift certificate at a bookstore/record store, very pretty jewelry and a shiny little box made of stone/jewels too. Oh, and look, toestastegood gave me a little Sawyer/Kevin ficlet, just before I posted my fic the other day! go read and enjoy the schmoop! =D

I've sneaked upstairs to read the flist, but didn't really comment, sorry about that. Will stay like that for a while too, but I'll be back and more present in a couple of days, or maybe in a week, depending on when I go back home and how long I'll have visitors once there. Mostly my computer time was for posting my Sawyer/Kevin fic, Ever Wondered What Happened On The Tampa Job?, for toestastegood at lostsquee and getting my Supernatural Gift Exchange fic done and sent to the mod of the comm \o/ . I need to thank zooey_glass04 and siluria for their most excellent help on it. They did such a great job, and as it sometimes happen, they caught a lot of the same stuff but also complemented themselves because one would catch an error that the other had not seen. I am blessed to have such good friends! =D   I'll tell you guys when the fic is up at spn_giftxchnge :)

A thing I can do in public is drawing, so I've started that 'doodle/sketch' meme earlier today. My first 'victim' was the one character/person I knew the less, for my lovely crowgirl13

hello my lovelies! I am still on radio silence for the most part, for the good reason that I have too much to do and so little time to play on LJ!

Right now I have to do the dishes, pack the suitcases, water the plants, put timers on lights, give food to the cats, eat, go buy stuff to do sandwiches for the ride because we're leaving for the far land of Baie-Comeau this afternoon, going to the in-laws for several days. Luckily, they have the internet, but I'll be browsing more than commenting, for I don't want to be asocial and stay in a bedroom all the time, even if I'd be tempted to do so.

I did half my SPN fic yesterday, and the 5 hour drive will surely permit me to do the rest in details in my head, will be a question of typing it up afterwards. Luckily I have until the 28th to bring it in. Would someone be willing to give me a Christmas gift in being able to look it over for me in when I am done, let's say, between the 25th and the 27th????  Will be Wincest, pre-series, probably around 4K (I think). *hopes*

a big thank you to superduperkc  for her postcard, zelda_zee  for the one from Mexico (welcome in the middle of freezing alive here), and I got wonderful cards by speedcat93 , bbmarcello , ellel  and OMG, keyweegirlie , I love the gift! yes, yes I just got it andI opened it, because we are leaving and the car is full (let's face it, I have no self restraint either!!! lol!). it's a very pretty and thoughtful gift, will think of you every time I use it  *smishes*

wow, that went quite fast, I thought I was on day 7 all day. but what can I say for today?

• slept real late  \o/
• did some dessert for the boys, was yummy
• we fixed the garage door (froze doing it, but it's done!)
• another movie tonight (Dans une galaxie près de chez vous 2, I love those idiots), so more pop corn
• my boy made me laugh when he said he was getting old because his back cracked (he's 10! it was hilarious!)
• got back my Lost_hohoho fic, now proofed for consumption
• had a nomination at the lost_fic_awards  for a great sex scene? wow, thank you!  =D

radio silence from me tomorrow, I got to get done on that frigging SPN fic. wish me luck!

when I tried to post last night, LJ would not let me. so a bit late, here is what made me happy yesterday (day 7) for that 8 days of happy things meme

• fist day of Holiday!
• almost total cleanup of the house. no, that didn't make me happy to DO it, but now it's DONE (except for 2 rooms!)
• went to rent a movie with the boys and a little friend sleeping over (first time that ever happens) and therefore popcorn!
• for two episodes now, Ronon is on my TV. I was looking forward to meet him and YUM!
• wine. yep. that was happy making

on other news,  I checked the flist and opened tabs, but OMG, I need to stop procrastinating and DO that fic for the SPN fic exchange! meeep!!!

• my leftovers from yesterday? still yummy!
• I finally finished that *BLEEP* report I have been slaving on for weeks. I wanted to get it done before I finished, so my boss would not be lonely and have something to do next week making his comments *cackles*
• I am now off for TWO WHOLE WEEKS, YAY!  *does a gig*
• went to get the gifts I had ordered, my Christmas shopping is done! Well, except for my brother who still haven't called me back *sigh*
• I bought a sweater for myself - nice, soft and purple - in a sort of warehouse, so I knew it was on discount, but at the cash they charged me 5,42$  \o/
• on the other hand, one of the gift I went to pick up was 40$ more expensive than what I had been told. I complained and hope the manager will do something next week. To make it better I went to buy myself a hat and scarf and a frozen yogurt thingy.
• I saw the cutest kids, they just made me grin. One was a little girl with her mom in a fabric store. She was about 4 years old, in her trolley thing as her mom shopped and just kept on singing, happy, loud and totally off key. It was ADORABLE. Before that, in another shopping mall, there was two little boys on Santa's knees. The youngest was about 4 and totally wide eyed, fascinated, and his brother that was about 8 years old had a little smirk, visibly too old, but he stayed there, beaming at how his brother was enjoying himself. A total wee!chester moment, it had to be seen!  =D
• Supernatural in French is on TV (The Magnificent Seven) and I can't help but laugh and laugh at how the voices don't fit and how WRONG it sounds!

Okay, gotta go. Sorry I'm bad on comments and it should be even worse this weekend, gah!!!!

• well what made me happy was that we had this very nice lunch in a great Chinese restaurant, and that the boss of my boss paid for the wine. mmmm. it was delicious. and a long lunch.  :)
• I have brought back almost half my yummy food for tomorrow! lol! yes, I ask for doggie bags. Sue me.
• I did a necklace for the secretary at work, who's going to give it to her daughter, and she loved it.
• i mailed the last two things I wanted to mail before Christmas, although I am sorry that they will probably get to destination way late
• i re-did my memories, which I had not done in like 2 years, which consisted of erasing everything and then post a link to my master fic list. That and keeping a random entry on what fandom is. Re-doing my memories, if you can call it that, had been on my "to do" list for forever.

oh and I think I am losing my mind, I'm really really tempted by the Supernatural convention in Vancouver at the end of August. I checked air fares and all (as expensive as going in Europe, mind you). It's so SHINY to think of it. I even talked to my husband about it. I don't care for the big packages and autographs, would probably hang out in the back with a cheap ticket and maybe buy a photo OP or two depending on who's there. *gah*

damn, my cat's nemesis is outside at the door and mewling to get in. he never did this before (usually he come to taunt, has a screaming mach with my cats and goes). It's cold and snowing. Go home kitty! I can't take you in!

• made a deal with my mom who's handling the gifts for my father and nephew for me, only the brother to go;
• was pretty productive at work today;
• went to get take out for supper, because I didn't want to cook;
• speaking of, the fries were delicious;
• homework with the kids was kind of fast, and no more of that until January;
• uploaded even more icons. I love icons!;
• I was good and ate fruits instead of bad stuff (apart from the take out. shhht.);
• updated my master fic list, hadn't done that since August, and managed to wrestle the damn coding into submission
• finished S1 of Stargate Atlantis.

day 3 of that 8 days of good things!

• I uploaded a good 10 new icons today, and also rotated a couple more, replacing old icons by something that fits. I love to do that  :)
• I did more research for my SPN fic, and decided that my monster was not right for the story I had time to do. It needs to be something epic. so flailed and tried to find a new monster, which I did. and again it was fodder for something way more elaborate and would not fit in my story. So I found a 3rd one.  I think that one fits!!!   *hopes that 3rd is the charm*
• if it was not already done because I love geeks, McKay stole my heart in 'Letter from Atlantis'.  OMG, he's so great. and yet, I only have a John icon for the moment *must find the good stuff*
• finally, got 2 cards today, by kickaboutheart  and halfdutch , both so cute and original! thank you loves!  =D

• I didn't work;
• I ate spicy Thai food for lunch, nomnomnom  :) ;
• I did all of my Christmas shopping, except for my brother's gift. I did have to order a couple and will have to go back, but it's just a matter of picking them up;
• I did a Christmas gift myself, and I like it;
• I sent all of my Holiday cards except for two that I'll send tomorrow;
• I finally found a Guitar Hero World Tour for PS3 (those fuckers go FAST!) and the nice guy at the store brought it to my car while he didn't need to;
• I found my case file for the SPN exchange, now I must write it;
• my X-mas tree is still pretty and I'll show you tomorrow;
• Cassie got her sekrit gift and it makes me happy (thanks Carina!);
• watched 2 episodes of Stargate Atlantis tonight. 4 left to finish Season 1;
• just finished recording Generation Kill tonight, we'll start on that one soon;
• I had GIFTS!!  isis2015  did fabulous icons that I can't wait to upload, gemjam  a great Sawyer/Sayid ficlet, a GREAT mix by cmonkatiekatie  and love bars yesterday from janie_tangerine , yay for talented friends! I am SPOILED  *beams*

Day 1: Why do Christmas lights suddenly decide not to work over the summer? anyhoo. After tons of problems with the lights and a trip to the store to get more, I did our Christmas tree with the boys and it's really pretty. With over 600 lights I think. The house looks a lot more like Christmas now     =D

You know what I did today? all of my Holiday cards. ow. my hand hurts! lol! haven't written that much longhand in a while!  SO I'll mail them all on Monday and you all who requested one will probably get them late  :/   I am so sorry about that!
